It’s part of a mini-splurge at mywardrobe.com who kindly sent me a £50 voucher for coming runner up in one of their monthly blogger competitions (this was my Three Easy Ways to Wear Sports Luxe #GameOn entry), plus I had a £25 voucher tucked away and they have a sweet promotional code running at the moment, so, all in all, it worked out quite well. And I am completely thrilled, I’d never normally go for red but this is working for me in a hugely confidence boosting way. I don’t think people mess too much with you when you’re wearing red (although the red trouser brigade may wish to differ) but since I’m not overly posh and live in deepest Hackney (although a pizza place and a Tesco’s have both just opened up on our nearest main road – times are a-changing) hopefully it won’t come across the wrong way. I need a bit of boost right now anyway, my head’s been in overdrive and I need to stand tall and feel bright. The By Malene Birger tank came too. Worth noting the style of the current By Malene Birger collection is cut oversized so although this is a small, it’s actually too big. Probably should have gone for the XXS. Anyway, the outfit is a first attempt at styling myself sports chic. I wouldn’t say I’d quite achieved sports luxe here, but my favourite fitted yoga trousers and white wedge courts seem to have pulled this look together quite nicely. What do you think?
I am wearing a red summer vintage international quilted Barbour, By Malene Birger stripe tank top, Zara white wedge shoes, Wellicious 3/4 yoga trousers, spike necklace (similar from Love From Misbehave here).
