OOTD – Pattern Clash – Feeling Magical

I didn’t expect this OOTD to come out that well, but suddenly I see the patterns are echoed by the twiggy-ness against the wall…

And it feels a little bit magical. It’s silly, isn’t it, to start reading signs into a place to inform a state of mind. But out here in the sunshine everything seems to come right and just feel that little bit brighter. All those dreams I’ve been keeping tucked away have ventured out for a little air, a little garland of possibility draped round their necks.

The woody magic also resonates with a brilliant YA trilogy I’ve been reading, Daughter of Smoke & Bone by Laini Taylor, with magic wishes, part animal part human monsters, fierce lovelorn angels and other worlds existing parallel to our own. Heady stuff.

I’m loathe to leave this place but I return with renewed vigour and higher goals and a funny mixture of learning to rest when needed and push when needed. But at the right times and in the right places. I’m definitely guilty of wasting energy on inconsequential things. Don’t sweat the small stuff, I guess. But I always do, which is why I mention that my hair is looking extra crazy because of the wind, the wind.

Wearing – Pettie Topshop cami top, Zara skirt  (£12.99 in sale) and Havaianas.
