Mismatching Just A Little

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAI don’t know why I got it in my head that matching accessories had to be an absolute match, no variation in shades. And so it’s something I’ve never really given much though as being one of those clearly unachievable things…

MATCHY MATCHY?

Until this bag and these boots! Just a few shades off of each other – the dark berry red of the bag picked out in the sunset hues of the embossed leather boots. They kind of match, but not perfectly, and that appeals to me so much more, being weirdly perfectionist in my anti-perfectionism. So the boots, you may have already seen on my Instagram and I am properly obsessed with the style and fit. Beautiful crafted in traditional family run Spanish factories, Chamberi is a partnership between lifelong friends Charlie and Mirella…
Both designers and entrepreneurs realising the fantastic dream of exquisitely made limited edition collections for factory-to-customer prices. Having tried them and worn them on a busy day around London, I can attest to the comfort (they are so light!) and perfectly snug fit – the embossed snake leather is gorgeous and now I am coveting the velvet and patents styles too, eek!  I met Charlie for a coffee and was so taken with her vibrancy and passion for the brand that I can’t wait to see what they have to show us next!

AND THE REST OF IT…

I’ve mentioned Manu Atelier before, which also has two strong women (sisters Beste and Merve) behind the brand and I am obsessed with the new Demi – again, wonderful opening action, like an old fashion doctor’s bag! – in addition to the Pristine style. The new season style have some some very pretty soft pinks and mixed styles too! While the coat and jumper are oldies from last year (although there’s one currently The Outnet) the jeans are a really nice new surprise.I bought a whole load of stuff in the Gap sale …
Including this pair of jeans; snipped off the ends and grated and they are my new look-great-easy-to-wear-everyday pair – super loose on the waist yup but look great on the leg, yaas! And finally my obsession with initialled signet rings continues with this beauty from London based Bianca Jones Jewellery. This is properly weighty and a feels wonderful to wear, so much so you don’t really need any others to go with. Except maybe a pretty in rose pink square-faced watch, just £80 by Clerkenwell’s Accurist.
