As the weather struggles in stops and starts to decide whether we are firmly into autumn, the rest of us, for sanity alone, forge boldly ahead. I need to know that it’s autumn wardrobe from henceforth else my brain might disappear in a swamp of fizzled out broken circuits from too-many-decisions-to-make overload…
The pace of work and Gus being back at school throws you in at quite a healthy speed and there always something exciting to be doing… Despite having given LFW a miss this season, this week alone I’ve interviewed and photographed gorgeous brand King & Tuckfield (interview coming soon!), hosted one of my photography workshops (there will be more; the next one will be announced on my Stories first!) and jumped on a train up to Darlington to visit Middleton Lodge with the lovely team from Hush.
You might not remember but I first visited Middleton Lodge for my birthday a couple of years ago – check out the pics here – and it is still just a beautiful, just growing at an incredible rate with a beautiful new kitchen garden, divine food and refurbed Farmhouse where we all stayed super snug and left wishing we could all move in! The Farmhouse can be rented out as a whole and the top floor attic room is the most incredible space.
Which leads me to the outfit. You’ll have seen me wearing this leopard coat (get it before it goes, just went live today, I mean, leopard is basically a neutral right?) on Stories already – one of my favourite necklines and the perfect fit for pint-sized me in a size XS. The sweater which also dropped today with lots of lovely other new in pieces – I have found to be the first thing I’ve been reaching for most days since it has arrived. Fantastic fit for a sweater, these styles can sometimes feel too fitted by this is just perfectly comfy.
I also got super snuggly while in the colder climes of Darlington, in this green knit too and I’m thrilled to see a reissue of this style which I wore to death last year in grey, now available in camel too! An ode to Hush jumpers forthcoming. 😉 Also a lovely surprise was the elegant fit and look of this wide-sleeved top in green leopard which I wore to dinner with high-waisted jeans and heels, that is all my autumn/winter need to dress up for parties sorted now! Thinking I might just need the floral leopard version as well…
