Further into my 30s today – it’s a weird one, I kind of don’t want to notice the years passing (hence the serious face), yet at the same time I want to have all the lovely birthday feelings and fun I usually do…
So fancy floral pants and we’re off to lunch at a restaurant on the beach. Can’t wait! Obviously being a 4th of July baby you kind of have your thunder stolen by Independence Day, though there can be benefits to that. When I was little and we lived in Copenhagen, the American diplomatic residence was close by and they’d have a brilliant firework display which I pretended was all for me, natch. Celebration gate-crashing. It’s definitely a thing.
I took these photos in such bright light that, even though I was standing in the shadow, the colours just looked too harsh. So you got them in black and white… More pieces from the Zara sale, honestly I think I want to go back for more! I always used to think that Zara didn’t really fit me, but I’m feeling pretty happy with the fit – a tight-fitting pair of trews are usually the bench-mark as to whether you can wear a certain label or not. I love the slightly 60s feel of the side zipped high-waist on these. Can’t help but think Betty Draper. The shirt is a loose cross-over style which is perfect for hot weather and the hot pink (yeah!) heels are asymmetric at the toe cleavage.
Anyway, there’s a lot of craziness happening across the world today, I hope it’s all going to work out for the best. Have a lovely day, peeps.
