I just wanted to show you the outfits I wore to Stockholm with Olympus. I didn’t managed to get any shots of what I was wearing while there, so I’ve recreated the looks at home. Not far off the trying on session I had before going…!
It was such a short trip, I wanted to pack lightly. Basically, I went for a comfortable travel outfit, a slightly smarter event outfit, and a second comfy outfit for sightseeing. And all with a vintage coat I picked up from Beyond Retro in Dalston and my brilliant everyday Datchet bag by Village England.
For the fashion event, I knew as soon as I spied them on the mannequin in KJ Laundry with Emma from Life of Yablon (devil on my shoulder, woman!), I’d be wearing these tailored tapered trousers by Italian brand Pomandere. I love their masculine look, and although paired with a heel, it’s a chunky, utilitarian heel, another great in my repertoire of ugly shoes. And so comfortable – I spent 10am-6pm stomping around in these no prob! The jumper I found recently at H&M, just £15 (and I have it in black too.)

Sightseeing in the city centre called for my comfortable sneakers and my favourite pair of stretchy skinnies. The pretty top contrasts perfectly with the black and also I love how the florals clashed with the leopard print on the shoes. I sized up with the sweater as I wanted the larger proportion to wear with skinnies.
Smoke and mirrors… ok, there’s a bit of subterfuge going on in the detail here. I’m wearing a gorgeous ring by Ruifier in each of these outfits which I didn’t actually wear in Sweden as I only borrowed them this week – but I couldn’t resist adding them in, too gorgeous! I wish I’d had them with me on the trip and totally want to work their chunky bling loveliness into my regular wardrobe. The silver rings are by Anna Lou of London, but the big chunky gold ones are by Ruifier (you might have seen them in this post).
And this is what I travelled in, both ways! Ridiculously comfy boyfriends by Paige Denim, they truly are the king of ripped denim right now (see this post with the latest Jimmy Jimmy pair) and a very pretty pink and cream striped knit by Danish brand Ganni, which was lent to me by their PR company. Love the neckline and big stitches.
Also I wanted to show you how I take my outfit posts using an app which allows me to see what I’m shooting on the screen (ie. me!) so I can check I’m in shot and in focus. I set the timer and pop the phone down beside me. Very handy little app – Olympus Image Share which I use with my Stylus 1.
