Windblown

NeedleKnit4

The sun came back out yesterday and I felt refreshed, reinvigorated and raring to go! An ensemble of blue and grey saw me heading over to west London for an Arizona-inspired denim-fiend’s heaven of a press day (can’t wait to show the photos from the MiH showroom – too divine!)…

Needless to say, despite my fine colour-blocking knit by Needle (gorgeous little brand started by a lovely lady who used to work at L.K.Bennett) I did get a little overheated, but I think this is partly to do with my current adventures in hat-wearing. Loved a wry (or hilariously catty, can’t decide) comment from the Sunday papers – an interview with one of the Game of Throne actresses by Tanya Gold I think – summizing that actresses always wear hats ‘because they must be cold all the time’. Well, they sure do keep you warm and I found myself removing mine more than once to let the breeze cool me down.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m loving these warmer-than-they-should-be autumn days that are allowing a lot more sans-sock ankle baring than I could ever have thought possible. Long may they last. And let’s keep this heady, breezy, gusty mood going through til the weekend. Banishing greyness with the power of my mind…! Life is a bit busier than usual these days, so trying to keep balanced and healthy – this weekend I’m trying a one-day juice detox (is it just me or is everyone doing these right now?). I have six rather exciting juices and a nut milk lined up in my fridge, so will let you know how it goes!

Ps. Did you enter my latest giveaway? Gorgeous tux jacket by Hush…
