Curling Up

When you’re under the weather, there’s nothing for it but to curl up with some knitted cosiness, the latest edition of Porter, delicious scented candle and a soft, silky eye mask for snooze time…

I’m making the most of the fact I’ve had to cancel everything today due to an ongoing, rather virulent cold and snuggling up on the bed, keeping an eye on emails and gathering strength for when the rambunctious little one comes home from playgroup. I also wanted to show you the cutest little ring ever, which I found on Boticca when I was preparing my Christmas Curators gift guide; I couldn’t include this in my list as there were only two left, one of which I snapped up and the other has now gone. But I discovered a fresh supply of this tiny beaten little finger ring in rose gold on the jeweller’s website and seriously considering buying another to wear on the next finger. So, so pretty!

The gorgeous lambswool knit blanket – with lovely cable twists & my favourite moss stitch – and eye mask are from a new discovery, Soak&Sleep – lots of luscious homeware goodies that are good quality and don’t cost the earth. The blanket is the perfect bed throw (£55 – and there’s 20% off at the mo) and I now have it draped around me as I type. I’m torn between keeping it up here or using it as a throw for one of our sofas downstairs… So, despite being all gift guided out (see my natural & organic beauty gift guide for The Beauty Shortlist and Christmas wishlist for Seven Boot Lane), can I just say, definitely take a look for any last-minute Christmas shopping…
