In the spirit of eager-beaver forward planning (just a leetle bit over hot water bottles and frozen fingers, aren’t you?), I’ve been casting my eye about and have put together a look I hope to be rocking this spring…
The good news is I’m half way there; with choice basics white denim ripped boyfriends (nabbed these in the Nelly.com sale, pictured are the more upmarket MiH – I have this slim Phoebe style in blue with the patch, now on sale!) and black-soled Birkenstocks. Cos when I like something, I stick to it and embrace the new little tweaks (and cracks! Can you guess this shoe reference? More coming soon, I promise!).
Now, the bag. By Mansur Gavriel – I was blissfully ignorant up until two weeks ago. I know, where I have been you-in-the-know may ask? Well, I know now, and how it hurts. One to save for and currently practically unavailable in black (in white here), being last year’s oh-so-covetable It-bag (read about it here on BoF). I’ve fallen hook, line and sinker for the Platonic form bucket bag design and can’t imagine life without one. Or, how amazing would life be with one? And it comes in beautiful tan which I almost prefer; the way to wear these bags is actually open at the top a la Sienna and Camille – how amaze? Currently available at Avenue K and on eBay – I’m watching… and wishing, and hoping, and longing, and lusting.
And the faux fur bomber jacket – because the faux has been raging so strong in various incarnations this winter (coats by Shrimps, bags by Topshop, scarves by Charlotte Simone – but I’m talking transitioning into spring and how perfect. I was alerted to these incredible bombers by mother/daughter team The Design Studio on Instagram, where they’ve been selling jackets ever since the first one they made for Suki Waterhouse got over 13,000 likes… Yep, it sure is nice.
