Fairweather Fringe

Suede + fringing equals hot sizzling fashion gold right now, and right this whole year if fashion month just gone is anything to go by, which it kinda is. Whether you’re a dedicated follower or not, it all eventually trickles through…

What I absolutely adore about these stunning fringed Woodstock babies (new from Air & Grace, you can pre-order here) is that they are top of the heap on the style stakes but none of that ‘no pain, no gain’ rubbish. The super cool, willowy long-haired beauty of a big sister to my current favourite ankle booties (the Coachella) which I debuted during my hard-working LFW and was amazed by their sheer comfort + style dynamite mix.

The stretchy back makes them very easy to pull on, which is not what  I thought when I first saw them on their leggy designer Claire Burrows – in fact, I thought, being such a shrimp, I could never wear a pair of boots like these. Now feverish as proven so wrong, they actually make legs look longer, my dream!

My only sadness is that these sample babies are going back to the showroom until they go into production proper. I CANNOT WAIT. But it gives me time to find the perfect denim dress to wear with them. Yes, yes, a touch late to the game if you were on the Alexa Chung for AG (although there seems to be another cute denim dress style in stock) and Miss Selfridge dupe nice and early, but you know, style crushes take their own sweet time sometimes…

I’m also taking my own sweet time getting ready for a fun little press trip with Barbour, training this afternoon up to Newcastle for seafaring and foodie fun. Keep up with all the action on Instagram @stylonylon and yep, I’m newly on Snapchat too, also @stylonylon. See ya there!

  1. They are so beautiful! I spotted them at PLFM recently and did a little *swoon*. I can’t get enough of fringing this season!
