Still working my way through photos from Portugal! The light was just too good out there. This was a favourite outfit, I loved combining the relaxed fringing with a minimal tunic dress…
The throw-on nature of this cardigan is gold, so easy and just the right amount of cosiness and cover you need for days that aren’t quite sweltering. As time passes, I’m learning I am such a hippie and minimalist in equal parts and have often struggled being torn in both directions. Now, as time passes, I think I’m figuring out how to take the best of both worlds and combine in a way that creates an overall look that is still a bit minimal but not denying myself colour and texture fun! So super minimal would be just the dress and white kicks, but it’s nice to throw in an eye-catching shoppper and a bit of desert cool California chic.
Both dress and bag come from a new discovery, vintage inspired site Fever London, whose designers travel the world to find inspiration from vintage prints and silhouettes that catch their eye and bring back to create something unique, ranging from this simple tunic dress to more retro, vintage style tea dresses and supercute Breton striped jersey dress! The handmade screen-printed bag with two handles – love this detail! – is by Seoul based artist Mari Ko. And the ever-so-cute bikini is by Reiss, love the little frill detailing. Although I didn’t get a huge amount of use out of is this somewhat rainy holiday!
Apologies for the ever-so-slightly crumpled nature of this outfit. Without an iron is an annoying part of being on hols and though I carefully rolled everything, some things fared better than others… Hmmm. Anyway, I’m so glad the spring is finally taking proper hold here, my photography urges are off the hook with all the incredible light and longer days… And I love the promise and excitement of this time of year, it always seems to be when lovely magical things happen from falling in love to projects coming to fruition! Such a joyful time, for fear of sounding a tad twee… Signing off now before I say something completely ridiculous!
