Either way, I’m doing all of the above! Love this slouchy Free People boho take on a Fairisle knit, nice and oversized for wearing over skin-hugging trews, the only way to go as temps plummet (as they’ve done this weekend, but where’s the snow we were promised, eh?). Check the interchangeable bobble hat from Bobbl – not one for gadgety clothes generally but you get to choose your hat and then bobble, and the end result is pretty swish, so much so Gus has already staked his claim…!
Big capacious shopper from gorgeous Swedish brand House of Dagmar for those tentative first weekend shopping trips – always good to have something you can toss bits and bobs in. And again, as Christmas has come real in our household this year, as Gus gets it now, we’re going to be doing out first Christmas tree, first Christmas stocking, the works. Just warning you now…
The flares take me right back to my teenage days when I sought out this wide-legged shape, waist size doesn’t even matter too much as the point is to wear them slung low. This awesome three-tiered pair are by Closed are from the SS16 collection – but if you’re in Selfridges check out their pop-up shop there – until 24th December.
Nice new natural make-up brand for you (no parabens, sulfates, synthetic dyes, rest the rest here and not tested on animals) Alima Pure from the US. This is the first pressed foundation in a compact (with rosehip antioxidant) I’ve really liked using – very useful for whipping out pre any photos that need taking! Really really decent mascara – if I had to save one item from this range, it’d be this – one of the few that doesn’t seem to leave me with panda eyes after an eye-rub end of day. And I’ve been using brown for daytime wear since being told by a makeup artist it’s actually brings out blue eyes better than black. I like the softer look of it as well, and now save black for evening. The brow pencil is great for filling in eye brows – I do this when I’m ‘doing my make-up’ as the other thing that differentiates my ‘day look’ from my ‘night look’, haha!
Cute silvery gift tags by the always reliable The White Company and delicious, delicious Christmas teddy chocolates by Lindt – always my chocolate of choice come yuletime. Check out the Father Christmase, reindeer and elves too and oops, just discovered their recipe page with brownies and chocolate Christmas trees, drooling as I type. Also been embracing festive stars in a big way – this sweet little bracelet by Hush Homewear and have been snuggling up in these starry pyjamas all weekend – Insta-evidence right here.
