5 Loungewear Options You Need In Your Life

Processed with VSCOcam with hb1 presetI spend quite a lot of time at home. Self-proclaimed homebird with a growing wardrobe to match. As the freelance lifestyle becomes more and doable for people – got laptop, can work from home – the options for comfy loungewear are getting better and better. Here are the five you need to know…

Good pyjamas are a boon and there are some lovely ones out there right now. New on my radar are the wonderfully named Yawn (2), whose whole approach to life and pyjamas feels very right; designed in London, hand-drawn prints on super soft 100% cotton sateen. My fave is the very sweet and sober pair, quite old-fashioned in fact chambray blue. And while that’s the sensible option for these colder months, my new fad is these gorgeous shorts sets – this blue signature set by Desmond and Dempsey (1) and ever so sweet organic cotton block-printed cami set by Eight Hour Studio (3) who you can find at the fab east London boutique AIDA Shoreditch (gorgeous mix of minimal Scandi and French brands).

Loungewear

Now doing a mix of pyjamas as well as luxe loungewear pieces is Blue Marmalade (4), who I have featured on the blog before. Founder Helen White’s has put together a collection of cleverly designed pieces all purposed for max comfort but also looking good. You know, the kind of stuff you can answer the door in. These pinstripe loungepants are stretchy and relaxing but with a jumper on top will make you look quite well put together. Here’s my take on it with a big slouchy cardy by Uncivilised.

Ok, so it might be a funny kind of nostalgia for being pregnant but actually it’s just that you couldn’t get any comfier… If you are in need of maternity wear though, this is where I would definitely recommend you go – and it looks like they have a corduroy version of the jumpsuit now too! Next time for me, right! (Oh yes, and the cosy slippers are from Emu Australia.)
