Ripped, Striped & Saddled

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Things I have most of in my wardrobe right now? Ripped jeans, striped tops and saddle bags. Forget about grey knits for the moment and that’s pretty much my holy sartorial trinity this year…

[ezcol_1half]Just can’t get enough of them! I just want an easy life, hey. Not one for more over-flamboyant peacock dressing, me. Nice and simple and then think about the other stuff. Like making mini-Insta videos, my latest obsession! Super easy, can’t wait to show you how – great little feature new from Olympus! Or indulging in gripping new Netflix (we discovered Stranger Things the other night and are deeply obsessed!) and planning August summer holidays – trips to see the grandparents in Skye and Portugal, really cannot wait and we’re going to slip in a little Lisbon trip too, just a couple of days. I went as a child, dying to go back with the boys and go photo mad![/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end]The new saddle bag is from Cambridge Satchel Company, they’re bringing out some fun new styles and textures this autumn so keep an eye out. I had my initials on this too, super sweet and very subtle as I just went for plain; though you can have them stamped in gold and silver. So in love with the low-crotch jeans. Got them from Storets, who seem to do great denim for shorties 😉 and very reasonably priced at $62, although you do have to pay duties afterwards. The perfect classic Breton knit is from Scandi brand Samsoe & Somesoe, just the kind you can never have enough of. Sort of. Planning a massive Marie Kondo spring clean this weekend! [/ezcol_1half_end]

  1. That bag is just “darling”, darling!

The strap looks almost long enough for wearing cross-body – always good to have options, particularly if going somewhere crowded/need hands free for photography! Do you feel like divulging what you actually carry day-to-day? I’m guessing wallet, sunglasses, loose change, Oyster card, lip balm … Can you actually get the Pen F in there, too?

    1. Ah yes, strap is very long! Actually snipped it because I wanted to wear it shorter! Too small for Pen F though, I carried it loose that day. Haha, yes mainly the usuals 😉 with some extra camera bits & batteries! Will do a post if you like? 🙂

      1. A post would be good, I think. Minimal Meets Practical, perhaps?

For my height, a long strap is a must! The oxblood leather on the Cambridge website looks great.

I’m guessing you carry your camera loose most of the time? I remember reading somewhere advice for aspiring photographers, suggesting that the camera should be carried all the time, not just when photography is planned or even likely, so that (a) it becomes a comfortable physical extension of self and (b) others are used to seeing it, making successful shots more achievable. (Much easier with a 4/3 camera than a DSLR, I should think; I’m really hoping to get a Pen F!)
