I have a real love affair burgeoning with checks this autumn – just can’t get enough of them. From houndstooth to big mohair marmalade & forest green blanket style checks. Bring it on! Pun also included though and that’s reference to how fast we all seem to be working these day, letting social media gobble us up timewise and emotionally…
[ezcol_1half]It’s been refreshing reading some bloggers taking a more low-key approach to fashion week (the whole month?! Eek, I could never!) and others writing about how there’s so much more to them and their lives and that what they publish on IG and all the rest, while also admitting how easy it is to get caught up – and fly high or sail low –in variations of numbers of likes and how fast! I go through phases and generally try to keep a level head about it all – but recently when I’ve seen the algorithm not working in my favour it’s been hard not to feel a bit down about it all. On the other hand while I’m happier than I’ve ever been with the content I’m creating for the blog and the brands I’m working with it’s still hard to not judge your ‘success’ by how many likes you rack up in an hour! [/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end]All part andparcel of navigation the speedy nature of technology hurtling forward and all the different ways creators and publishers and communicate with an audience. Thoughts? I should also probably mention how hard-working the denim and shoes were the day that I shot them. This Friday morning meeting outfit morphed into this look for the evening, retaining the comfiest heels I ever tried (yes, as in they feel like trainers!) and the jeans too. These from the Jaeger x Donna Ida collaboration, kick flares (yes, I lopped & frayed) with a little bit of stretch so ridiculously stretchy on the waist which was just as well as that evening I ate well over capacity (at House of St Barnabus where the aubergine & chickpea dish is just too delicious!) Hi Julia!
Thanks so much! I’ll try calling – is there a style reference I can quote?
On another note – I’ve recently purchased an Olympus Pen F, which I adore but having difficulty getting to grips with as I’m a bit of a camera novice. I know you occasionally hold classes, but are there any beginners options you would recommend? Any advice gratefully received! 🙂

Ooh, yes official name is ‘Longsleeve Demi Neck T-Shirt’
Ah, I’ve been meaning to do an intro to the F, it is a fantastic camera! Till then have you checked out my posts –

New on the F is the colour control wheel and movie clips which are a couple of the features I want to write about!

Thanks for the links re. PenF…I adore it, but so many dials and settings to get your head around. Really looking forward to your intro post when you get a chance. 😉
