How I Do My Everyday Natural “No Makeup” Look

Here’s a little look at my super simple – I’m warning you, it’s pretty amateur haha! – approach to makeup for a natural everyday look and all the natural and organic skincare products I use…

My hyperactive little foray into the world of You Tube (you can subscribe to my channel here!) has been quite fun so far, and I’ve got quite  few more videos planned, so stay tuned. Lovely to see a few comments rolling in, apparently I’m quite ‘calm’ and ‘unexcitable’ on camera, which I’m hoping is a good thing – see for yourself and let me know what you think! Excitable exclamation mark there, though 😉

I’m linking all products mentioned below the video itself, and have linked in this post too. Would love to hear any video ideas you have…

A super easy “no makeup” natural look. All products linked below! Also in case you’re wondering why I’m lying on my tummy to do my makeup… it’s because this was the only way I could find to set up the camera to film the mirror and have access to all the bits and pieces! Am sure there must be an easier way to do this hah!

  1. So happy to see this post. I’ve not had time to watch the videos yet, but the product lists look promising. After watching your Pen F video a week or so ago, I really wanted to know about your makeup, so thank you. x

  2. Video now watched 😉

Simply, this struck me as really refreshing. There are such a lot of beauty vlogs out there – I’m often staggered by how many products these vloggers pile onto their faces – and I think that many viewers end up feeling some kind of onus to take the whole thing far too seriously. Frankly, as long as we don’t actually ‘frighten the horses’, there are so many more important things for us to focus upon. I think you’ve pitched this just right. x

P.S. May we have a note about your linen top, please? x

    1. Oh that is so lovely to hear! I felt a bit like I was wading into unknown territory with something over amateur and naive! So glad you liked it 🙂 Totally agree re not needing to pile it on, but tbh honest I don’t know if I could and not frighten the horses! I think next level technique may be needed!
Ah the top! I think it may be The White Company, kind of a cottony thing, let me check 🙂 x

  3. I totally agree with Lady Eve’s comments and love that it is a less is more approach to the whole make up thing and the title is what made me watch the video (I don’t normally watch beauty videos). The best bit was that there were actual minimal products used – I’m pretty lazy so the less I put on, the less I have to take off. I used to wear no makeup but even I can appreciate a little help is required these days – my wrinkles are not going anywhere and I know there’s more to come but I don’t want to be filling them in with lots of makeup – it emphasises rather than disguises as you get older. So the tiny bit of foundation you put on – phew – that’s about all I do and I love that it’s all fingers and no fancy brushes. A brilliant post and video!
