The big black chunky ankle has settled in firmly this winter and it’s practical, comfy and looks good – so a major win all round! From the high-end Bottega’s eye-wateringly priced ankle boots and Prada’s Chelsea boots to the Topshop’s Argan boot at under £100 (pictured above, there’s one size left btw!) and the keep-selling-out Zara Sole Trackers. But if you still need to get a pair then here’s what’s cooking…!
Wow, since I started drafting this post, the Zara Sole Trackers which came back in stock at the weekend sold out in a day, yikes! But the good news is they also have a newer, cheaper version, roughly the same shape with a different style chunky sole and less stitching. Bottega-inspired let’s say, they have that fab narrow ankle (great for tucking in trousers for that cool military leg. (ps. I will be selling a size 5 pair over on Depop in the next couple of days, so stay tuned on my Stories!)

The Eytys Ortegas pictured below, are not completely out of stock and you can find them here on Farfetch. I am also loving the Vagabond Cosmo 2.0 quilted boot, also a Bottega-esque style and I would sign up to be alerted when they’re due in.
I am absolutely loving these in stock Topshop lace-ups, the chunkiness is just right and they have a vegan version too. Currently sold out, but worth keeping an eye out for when they come back in are Arket and Other Stories. And if you’ve got a pair 1.1k to drop, check out the just released The Row zip front, which are all kinds of perfect!
