Friday Style Bites | Spring Dress, Knitted Vest & Chunky Loafer

There’s no doubt about it Spring is in the air! A snow heavy winter and sub-zero temps has left me with a crushing urge for mood-lifting Spring dressing. Easy, up-lifting and pretty – so how about a spring dress, knitted vest and chunky loafer?

We’re not quite there yet for sandals, so for these transitional months I’m planning ahead! And in view of keeping the toes warm – will also look good with socks! – I’m plumping for the chunky loafer. I finally bit the bullet this week and bought the Arket pair and very excited for them to arrive as they’ll look great with the whole gamut – dresses, skirts and jeans – provide a nice alternative to the Spring staples (Birkenstocks and plimsols) and they have a nice stompy, utility minimal feel about them. & Other Stories have a very similar pair for less…

And so dresses… The big Spring dress drop is yet to happen, but it’s nice to get a feel for what’s out there just now. And how good do they look with the knitted tank? That all important extra layer. Knit your own or there’s lots of good ones about, love this Mango one!  Perfect go-to Spring as an alternative to a cardi…

All about the florals, as per. I had a peek at Ghost, who do a gorgeous line in silk dresses and found they’re having a really good sale atm. There’s a sale on also over at Atterley with lots of dresses and I’m also keeping an eye on beautiful prints from Rixo and La Belle Liberte as they such do a beautiful fit.

H&M and & Other Stories are also good for neat fitting dresses that don’t overwhelm, although Stories are a longer fit. Here’s a little look at what’s available online just now ..
