Friday Style Finds | Bags Under £500

Bags under £500Although my favourite fashion accessory, the handbag, may not be getting much outdoor time these days, that doesn’t preclude a browse every now and then of the New In sections along with a sweet momentary flutter of ‘what if…’ re a coffee date, favourite handbag in tow! Let’s take a look at what bags under £500 are around right now…

I’ve been browsing and loving getting a sense for the vibes and styles this year, here’s a little edit of what’s caught my eye in the bags (under £500) sections…

Basket Bags

I am what is known as a basket or market bag fanatic lol (here’s an old post on them!) and one day I am sure I will succumb to the luxe Loewe version – probably to celebrate a future trip abroad to the sun & seaside, whenever that may be, eek! Anyway, these are my current faves – in yellow and the super cute collab style with Ibiza boutique Paula.

Gathered Bags

I’m a big fan of comfy soft styles that mould to your body easily underarm. I love the new gathered leather styles that started making an appearance a few season ago: the Bean from Staud and the Vague by Elleme are just gorgeous! A little more structured (and in the sale with 30% off) is the beautifully shaped Moon tote, also from Staud.

Cute & Elegant Bags

Excited to discover Australian brand Oroton (Australia’s oldest luxury fashion company, founded 1938) and am really taken by its styles and at a great price point too. These two styles particularly caught my eye – the tan Frieda and very elegant Cassia.

Woven Leather Bags

I remember the Dragon Diffusion style bags coming onto my radar quite early on and I bought one direct from France! A market bag but in harder-wearing woven leather, what’s not to love! However the one I bought had quite thin handles and wasn’t that roomy inside. So I am really loving the Nantucket style as the are much bigger inside and with a much more comfortable handle. All the colours, for once, – green, tan and blue – are calling out to me!

New Designer!

Take a look at clothes designer Ioannes; I have absolutely fallen for the relaxed elegant silhouette of the Bento leather tote – I only wish it was a little bit bigger!
