Friday Fashion Bites | Florals, Vintage Teacups & Loose Jeans

It’s hella predictable I know, but Spring brings out the florals, dresses and girly in me and – when not slouching in comfy cardis and loose jeans – this year I’m really gonna embrace it…

I thought I made quite a good start covering myself in Whistle florals (below, left) the moment the temperature started rising – starting off indoors and then braving the outdoors on the first of March in the Farrah linen dress by Hesper Fox and latest knit I made (this is the Vicky Knits knitted vest I’ve been going on about!).

Florals For Spring?

In the vein of flowers all over, I thought this Sezane Paulie jumper just nailed the whole vibe and is such a pretty Spring sweater.

I’ve also been casting an eye over all the Faithfull loveliness now available on Net-A-Porter (the ultimate summer wear brand, I’ve bought a few pieces in the past and absolutely loved them; exactly the thing you can bring out every year and summer dress pieces are kinda timeless IMHO). And this swimsuit (on sale just now – or you can use FIRST10 on Net-A-Porter purchases atm) would go perfectly as a top with jeans!

Also great for floral dresses is Finery London now available at M&S, which is brilliant news!

Motel Style Morning Coffee

So the teacups? These come from my super-late-to-the-game complete adulation of Schitt’s Creek (I kept putting off going back as I really wasn’t sure! But from Episode 4 onwards I was hooked!). And I kept noticing (as did the rest of the world) the amazing mid-century motel teacups Moira and John drink their morning coffee from. Clearly on everyone else’s minds too as this pair I found on Etsy are already in someone’s basket!

Toxin-free Nail Varnish

Also catching my eye are new spring colours for nails. I am absolutely loving the new reds & terracotta colours from Kure Bazaar  (Java, Pulp, Magnifico, Puglia – available at – cruelty free, 10-free, 98% natural nail varnish made from naturally derived ingredients based on wood pulp, wheat, cotton, potatoes and corn. The new colours should be available on Content soon! My plan for the weekend is to alternate the Puglia and the Java!

Slouchy jumper & jeans

My HM X Lee Jeans skinnies arrived and they are so good I ordered the other colour! They’re high-waisted but have a great strong stretch and are extra comfy on the stomach, just like wearing leggings – I love them! There are only a few sizes left now, eek!

As I loved the fit so much I bought two more of the styles including the slouch jeans with which I am hoping to recreate this completely awesome slouch look by @greceghanem – how perfect!

Almost a perfect match on the sweater is this Mother of Pearl x John Lewis one or you could go for a relaxed cardi like this jacquard check one (yes, I may have bought it, ahem) – similar to the WATG x Mother of Pearl one I am currently knitting which is my hardest project to date and is gonna take a while eek!
