Friday Fashion Bites | Teva Midforms, Cushions & Clean Denim

This week while the weather flip flops around I’ve been focusing on small home improvements – from masking-taping up the kitchen door in preparation for painting to getting in some cushions and rugs to spruce up our converted steading living space…

I’ve always found cushions particularly hard to choose – too bright is just not my thing, but neither is too plain. So I found the perfect in-between and not too expensive solution over at Dunelm, these kilm cushions have a nice worn-in feel about them already and then I splashed out on a special hand-quilted velvet one from The Small Home. Job done!

I was also really pleased to find the perfect chunky jute rug at a reasonable price, also at Dunelm. So slowly, I feel we are putting out touch to the place. I find I am so slow at interiors as I’m not a natural Pinterester or inspiration gatherer, so often just wait until I stumble upon the right piece! Btw the cute little vases – the splatter vase  and the geometric vase (pictured above) – are from the new M&S Summer ’21 collection and available now…

I’ve also been thinking about warm summer days – a lot! And the beach… and these midform Teva sandals (tbh I have yet to commit as no summer hols prospect this year and I don’t know if the Highland summer will quite justify a pair!) just sum it all up perfectly. The midform is just the right height to still be practical and I can’t get over how good these will look with jeans! I’ve been trying out a pair from the new organic denim range from Thought Clothing (styling the straights over on Insta here!) and the wash on this would look brilliant!

Btw just noticed these chunky sandals are fully in stock rn over at H&M for £29.99 if you are after a pair! I would go quick, as they’ll probably fly!

In other news my bulbs are finally starting to bloom but then we also had a flurry of snow today, so I don’t know what to expect next…! Have a great weekend all!
