On our recent trip to Ibiza, I completely fell in love with La Paloma Cafe in San Lorenzo in the north of the island. A firm favourite with visiting DJs and the Camerons (apparently!)…
It more than lived up to all the rave reviews and recommendations. I think its ever so pretty verdant location and lime grove are part of what makes it so magical. That plus the shabby chic blues and pinks of the chairs and the tables. Oh, and the delicious food – we had a hummus and bread, goat’s cheese salad and burger for lunch and it was perfect. I should also mention we visited a few nights earlier as part of the wedding party for drinks and dinner (risottos and tagliatelle and mouth-watering tuna starters). The vibe was so relaxed on both occasions and the staff chilled but helpful. It was so perfect being there with friends – on the second time we bumped into friends we knew – and I could have stayed there for hours on end.
Super family friendly, there’s a little kid’s play are with swings and sandpit and the whole place is perfect for toddling around. If you are in Ibiza, do not make the mistake of not visiting! I think on most occasions it’s advisable to book, but having said that we didn’t but turned up nice and early for lunch about oneish and it was not too busy at all. We sat up by the kitchen, but I’d loved to have out the tables scattered around further away. Highly recommended! Oh, and cash only!
ps. Some of these photos appeared in my last guest post for Free People, Ibiza: A Photo Diary, where you can see what else we got up to. The unedited version of will be appearing here on the blog too!
