I thought I’d point you in the direction of some lightweight cashmere knits that have caught my eye. I used to buy all my cashmere in charity shops, and I liked it snug and tight-fitting. Just as well, as I was a dab hand at shrinking it too. These days, I prefer my jumpers oversized and loose. And I really don’t think the label matters too much – if you can pick up a classic style for less than £100, I think you’re onto something. This winter I lived in a nameless black cashmere sweater bought from a touristy knitwear shop on Edinburgh’s Princes Street. In fact, it’s becoming something of an annual Boxing Day tradition to go and pick up an oversized knit from the same shop – the year before it was a chocolate grandpa cardigan.
