So the family humoured me and let me whizz around the Zara sale (birthday treat!) and pick up a few bits and pieces. So forgive me, if OOTD gets a bit Zara heavy around here…
The little cookie was not that tolerant, only pacified with a chocolate croissant on my mother’s knee while I whipped things on and off. There was a Bershka next door, but I just couldn’t face doing it all over again. Queue head to toe in one label for the next few posts. Not something I’ve ever really done before. But I must be honest and say I’m really impressed with the pieces I got – mainly basic tops in neutral, cut-offs, this skirt and a mad pair of floral trousers. All to come.
When not taking the little cookie swimming, I’ve been kicking back and getting stuck into some an amazing YA novels, something I never do at home. My DIY distressed chair it also waiting to be sanded, but I’m slightly regretting the choice of paint, wishing I’d gone for matt instead of glossy – ah, holiday problems. 😉
The rest of this week I’m looking forward to getting into a few Wimbledon matches as things start to hot up and celebrating my birthday with the traditional cheesecake – this year we’re going for a New York style one which you bake instead of refrigerating. These photos were taken just as the sun was going down and I indulged myself in a bit of skirt swooshing…
I am wearing Zara top (similar on sale), Zara skirt (£12.99 in sale) and Ancient Greek sandals (still on sale at mywardrobe.com).
