I was so excited for these gorgeous moccasins by Amy & Ivor to arrive. Handmade from chrome free leather, they’re amazing for emulating unrestricted bare-footedness indoors and out…

I love Gus wearing little house shoes, but with their suede soles I hadn’t found any that seemed tough enough for plowtering outside in the garden. The leather on these is thick enough (and still breathable) to protect soft skin from sharp stones and the like.

And they look so cute! Like a medieval minstrel, or Game of Thrones extra, all the cooler when mixed with bright, modern colours. This pale grey is new for the spring and there is such a lovely range of new colours. Made to order at the moment, you just need to ask what colours are available. I measured Gus’s foot and sent in his size. They’re super easy to slip on and, quite frankly, I wish they came in adult sizes too!
