What do you wear to a festival for a day? And it’s a photography field trip at Wilderness that we’ve got planned…
Yes, Emma and I will be chilling and having fun (we talk A LOT!) plus doing a little yoga and face decorating, but for two camera geeks sans the littles let loose with a variety of lenses on a beautiful sunny day to soak up the atmosphere with nothing more pressing than getting some lovely shots – HEAVEN, I tell you, HEAVEN!
Obviously, I spent a little time planning what to take – the wonderful people at Free People very kindly let me raid their festival rail; here’s the dress above in showroom action! So, given the heat, I may be switching up my denim skinnies for a pair of cutoffs but plan to spend most of the day wafting around in the beautiful floaty dress. Possibly ditching the wellies, but how gorgeously chic are these ones? By French company Aigle.
Overall, I’ve tried to keep my festival style well put together by being quite strict with just two statement pieces (the dress and the poncho) and trying to tie in colours where I can; the wellies and the backpack, the white dress and sunnies. I know the temptation can be to go all out a bit crazy but I didn’t want to re-dress my approach to dressing completely but wear things that I would normally wear in the summertime anyway.
