Pops of tangerine and shades of pink are the perfect complements to an otherwise pretty neutral wardrobe… 

Here are some of my favourite bits and pieces currently playing friends in the colour department. Accessories always do well in classic tans and beiges – see bucket bag (more on that shortly) and perfect linen scarf by beach babe haven Heidi Klein – while light layers – top by LNA and Urban Outfitters x Staring at Stars boho cardy – are where you can start playing around with colour. It gives you a spring lift (much needed today, as the clocks have just gone forward officially heralding spring and yet it’s grey-cray outside) and makes outfits that bit more fun. Fun, fun? What do you call fun? Sorry, it’s song quote Sunday. 

Oh yes, the bag. The covetable, where-did-you-get-it golden ticket Mansur Gavriel bucket. Well, given my huge bucket obsession, once I’d discovered these babies existed I got on a mega must-have drive, so as per, I checked out eBay for offerings. And have since bought two. I know. Anyway, I didn’t pay massively over the odds – £338 plus shipping & duty from US for this one; they’re £332 new and also completely sold out! The trick is to find ones which have been through a couple of owners, so with a few nicks and scratches.

Tbh, I was extremely surprised at what good condition this one came in. Being raw leather, the nature of these bags is that they will accumulate wear and tear over time and that’s part of the charm. And since I never manage to keep things pristine I was willing to accept that in my purchase. So if you’re cool with that, check eBay. Don’t go for the brand spanking new, double the prices ones. Look for real sellers, I mean, people like you and me who are genuinely selling their piece on. Not the trader types who are looking to make a buck after somehow getting their hands on BNWT ones. However, I’d wait a few weeks until the hype from the latest sell-out drop has died down. There’ll be a restock in May, so maybe a few weeks before that would be a good time to jump on an eBay find – I bough this one a few weeks before the March drop so all eyes were on the webstore not eBay…
