For those of you not that sold on the Shoreditch Boxpark units, now is the time to go back and have a look see. There are some really interesting little shops popping up, not least new jewellery store Pärla Online…
My ears pricked up as soon as I heard that founder Erin was stocking two of my already favourites Clarice Price Thomas and Jessie Harris. So I was curious to see who else she had on board. With a focus on Scandinavian design (Erin stocks Norwegian and Swedish designers as well as British) and sustainable materials, the whole ethos is right up my street. And so great to see someone engaging with and bringing together what feels like a new breed of minimal jewellery designers not costing the earth (the prices feel just right to me) that are emerging right now.
I was delighted to discover and fall in love with London based and sustainable jeweller EA Burns. I left with the beautifully delicate rose gold shard necklace securely fastened around my neck, not once removed so far! And that’s one of the lovely things Erin does with her coterie of designers which is have exclusive pieces made with them. See the exclusive designs here – mad about this necklace by Jenny Sweetham and double ridge ring by Jessie Harris.
I often get asked by friends where I buy my jewellery and it’s always quite hard to nutshell it – as it’s usually small designers selling online themselves. But now I have an easy answer! Pärla is the place – do check it out!
