Today’s edit will be here and gone before you know it. A flash in the pan as I am otherwise deeply submerged in the final throes of house clearing before we make the house move next week (yippee!)…
So forgive my curtness with this edit. My mind is already embracing being offline for a week so I can devote all energies to getting this move right – yes, I have been googling house moving top tips! Only because I’ve never done a big house move before. Everything we have has accumulated slowly upon the random bits and pieces that we collated together from our separate flats and added to in a mish-mash way. Hoping to improve on this second time round…
In the meantime, let’s talk avocados. Who’s not forever in search of the perfect ripe one? I loved Erica’s post on them so much (the hashtag is #avocadolove fyi) I just had to include to add some fatty richness to my flat lay. Which includes my beloved strappy sandals from K Jacques – these a customised pair I did myself (but buy similar here). I kind of feel every girl should have a pair of these in her closet.
Just as much as she needs the perfect evening clutch. This is by my new bag find Danielle Foster and was the answer to my evening out at the Scottish Fashion Awards (what I wore here!). Sizeable, chic clutch in textured black. Big. Tick. Yes. I also wore this super gorgeous stick necklace by Niza Huang who I discovered on Cold Lilies.
As the days are cooling, I’ve been wrapping up with this grey cashmere poncho (I’m using it as a scarf) from The White Company, who are celebrating their 21st birthday which is overall quite impressive and just a brilliant concept for any store. Big c0ngratulations to them. I’ve also been enjoying soul-warming tea in this (white!) charming little set by Jing Tea (inspired by ancient Chinese gaiwan teaware) – I can’t wait for the moment I’ll be brewing up in the new house, sighing with relief at it all being done!
And more printed snaps from cute app Cheerz which makes it super easy to print photos direct from your phone (mine are Instagram but you can use Facebook, Dropbox, your photo albums). These are a selection of my favourite Insta photos, but I also dedicated a couple of strips to my favourite wedding day snaps for a cute keepsake.
So avocados for now, and I think I’ll be seeing you in a week’s time, probably stressed out typing from a café, once we discover the Wifi will takes an age to be installed… eek!
