I’ve mentioned before what a big fan I am of London maker M. Hulot and the high quality, super minimal bags and accessories designer and founder Anna Kreeger creates, so I was thrilled to hear about her new knitted accessories line of scarves and hats in super soft merino wool…
[ezcol_1half]Earlier this month, I visited Anna in her north London studio to snap some pictures and find out more. Unable to find a scarf with ‘the right level of simplicity’, Anna set about designing her own. It was very obvious from the start how to go about things, she told me. Supersoft against the skin, with a chunky tactile fisherman’s rib in two colours to sit well with a variety of winter coats. [/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end]A chance meeting with a knitwear designer working from the same building, Anna was able to realise her vision of the perfect scarf. Anna’s designs, which come in the oversized Cloud style and slimmer Purl, are handframed – requiring skill and precision – by Katherine Spence on Dubied machines. A snug but well-sized hat completes this well-thought out range.[/ezcol_1half_end]
I was completely bowled over by the sumptuous soft cosiness of the capsule collection and really struggled deciding which was the better sized scarf – the Cloud so amazing from swaddling yourself in over a leather jacket, for example, the slimmer Slip ideal for coats with big collars.
Obviously, I couldn’t resist snapping some of the gorgeous M.Hulot bags as I went. The knits are available here and really would make the perfect present (I’m thinking Christmas already, whaat! And to self, natch!).
