Where To Shop | Paper Mache Tiger, N1

Islington’s Cross Street has long been one of the area’s most intriguing streets for me. Just below Upper Street’s halfway mark en route to Islington tube, it connects right through to to Essex Road…

[ezcol_1half]It has been home to an interesting mix of shops and businesses, notably, for me, when I lived in the area, knitting shop Loop (which moved to Camden Passage) and latterly the gorgeous looking Tallulah Lingerie. In the meantime, across the road, in an old pencil factory, PR agency Paper Mache Tiger, has, literally, set up shop. After moving their offices to this building last year, they realised they could do so much more with the amazing space. And they have! Cleverly featuring client brands and collaborating with Conservatory Archives on Hackney Road to turn the space into a sumptuous boutique and little cafe – soon to be doing food on top of the hot drinks and delicious cakes. [/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end]Clothing brands include playful pieces from Etre Cecile, slogan tees and denim by Herculie (new in: new neutrals & pastels Herculie x Allude cashmere jumper collaboration has just arrived in store) and bold prints by Marimekko. Plus lovely looking candles by Woodlot and sweet little notebooks by Playtype. Such an impressive space, pop in for a coffee and a browse. Also events are in the pipeline, including live music and more, so if you’re local, keep an eye out. The space is actually as big again, if you take the office space into account and can be rearranged to accommodate all sorts of things. Enjoy the pictures and let me know if you pop in! The hot chocolate is divine, btw… [/ezcol_1half_end]
