The summer hols is really bringing out the basic in me. Basic but hey-ho still considered pieces that once chosen make life so much easier…
You know, like the holy grail perfect jeans. I know you know I’m Levi’s obsessed right now, but the fit is just So. Good. for me. I can rely on the sizing to work just right. This is a Wedgie straight hi-rise pair from Urban Outfitters which has sadly sold out… but here’s one pair in stock over here at Selfridges. And reduced pair in a darker wash over at Nordstrom…
The top (now on sale!) is another one. Organic cotton and good I bought it in two colours after my visit to The Keep Boutique in Brixton Village – see my interview & shop tour. Cute, yes needs a higher waist, but the knit is thick enough to negate the need for a bra – something of high import to me in the heat.
Kinda obsessed with a basic plimsol at the moment (see my Supergas and Levi’s ones) and these Spring Court pair are kinda up there in brand heritage – worn by John Lennon when he married Yoko and on the cover of Abbey Road no less. You can find Spring Court at Second Store – Britain’s first female-only online sneaker store – which basically has all your favourite trainers! Go take a peek!
Bucket bags are a long (years now, lol!) ongoing obsession of mine (as you no doubt know only too well!) and I love this slightly worn in piece from online-only though Hackney based Joan The Store in the lovely little In Neoss pop-up in Stoke Newington I stumbled upon last week.
Which is also where I found this cool-AF shades from sustainable Brighton brand Pale Eyewear. I mean Al Pacino eat your heart out!
So mainly sloping around London in similar basic outfits at the moment until with get our holiday plans in gear – bit of camping and couple of trips still to come!
