Leopard print and seashell jewellery have risen to the top of this summer’s trend frothiness, coming at ya fast and furious…
From Realisation Par’s sellout skirt to leopard in every which way at Topshop, & Other Stories and this soon to sell-out Sosander shirt, you can find this print in a garment (or scarf!) to suit you. Of that there is no doubt. And this is a trend that will push past the heatwave into the cooler autumn entree of September – I’ve previewed the autumn collections of few brands now and can assure leopard is here to stay. So get a piece that works for you.
I’d almost forgotten about this Topshop jumpsuit I bought a few weeks back, but the returned heatwave had me reaching for its loose comfiness and boy, does it do the trick. My other leopard piece is the now sold out Zara skirt, which is perfect with a simple vest. But take a look at what’s available at Topshop, & Other Stories, Sosander and Zara. I’ve already go this shirt and this swimsuit in my basket lol! Also eyeing up this stronger print shirt at & Other Stories!
The other can’t miss it if you tried summer trend is seashell-jewellery-EVERYWHERE! Mermaiding it is then! It’s such an obvious one come the summer, but I think it’s taken off so because we are all desperately craving some magical whimsy in our lives, the call of the sea and the wild (hence the leopard craze too am guessing – too literal?!), as the world around us seems to be imploding on a number of levels…
I fell hard for the Wald Berlin pieces (although don’t wear in the water as any gold flakes might come off am told!) and was really pleased to get hold of this shell necklace just in time for my birthday. I am a beach-lovin Cancerian after all! Etsy has a load of affordable shell jewellery – I think you want to find something with more delicate joinings (love this sweet little cowrie necklace) and of course, you can go high end over at Net-a-Porter should you so wish! And these small Isabel Marant earrings are super sweet! Of course, if you want to say one step ahead, get in on the beautiful pearl earrings by Danish designer Anni Lu.
I’m wedded to white plimsols at the moment and these Levi’s Malibu ones are super cute and comfy – I like the wider toe on this style. However, after seeing them at the press day, they proved exceedingly hard to track down – I found them on Amazon, but they’re unavailable in white now, but in different colours here. I’ll keep you posted, as am sure will be available properly soon!
