The Spring Bag You Can’t Afford Not To Have!

Nodo bag The Small Home basket bag

Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting Italian London-based designer Nodo, the maker behind this beautiful cotton rope shopper…

Inspired by a love of basket bags, designer Sara Bellatino wanted to make something more durable (and washable!) with her crochet and knotting techniques – ‘nodo’ means knot in Italian and the expression ‘fare il nodo’ is used as a reminder ‘not to forget’.

I first saw this design last week while visiting The Small Home – a gorgeous online boutique stocking beautiful handmade pieces for the home, clothes and accessories too. I loved the simplicity of the design and its obvious durability. The Small Home founder Ayshea showed me hers which she has been using for a year now and it still looked fantastic! (ps. take a tour of Ayshea’s most beautiful home here!)

I adore the market feel of the shopper: super laid-back and casual and so wonderfully refreshing in its anti-trend perennial chic style.

Some days I just need a bag I can stuff with extra bits and pieces – especially days I’m out with Gus! I need very easy access to what’s inside; the height of the shoulder straps means the bag itself is at torso height so extremely easy for dipping into! It’s also worth bearing in mind you can fold this bag into your suitcase for travelling, so useful!

Thrilled by the return of the warmer weather, I’m back in the mood for Spring and have styled up with a *tie-at-the-waist top, my high waisted *ribcage Levi’s, an ever useful top layer *utility green shirt and pared back *white kicks!

Costwise it comes in at £65 – you can find at The Small Home or at Nodo – and I am equally obsessed by this slightly smaller design

Stayed tuned for a mini interview with Nodo’s Sara, coming soon!

I am wearing: ribcage Levi’s jeans, Faithfull top via Beach Cafe, Tretorn sneakers, John Lewis shirt & Nodo bag. (All items gifted)
