Buying a Janome sewing machine was one of the first things I did when I moved into my first London flat…

Essential for a little home DIY – past projects have included curtains, a 70s style shirt, a superhero cape (!), cushions, kimonos, knickers … the list goes on. I was so active at one point, I even went to sewing machine night classes on Curtain Road at the London College of Fashion. Learning to sewing a sleeve and collar to a shirt still feels like a pretty big achievement.
