Reviewing Organic & Natural Beauty From A Beautiful World

Stylonylon - Natural & Organic Beauty - A Beautiful World

I don’t know about you, but every time I look in the mirror lately all I can see are the fine lines around my eyes…

I wouldn’t go so far as to call them wrinkles, but they are slowly getting more pronounced as the months fly by. Thank goodness then that the lovely Liz from A Beautiful World (if you missed my introduction piece on this fabulous new organic and natural beauty site, swot up here!) came to my rescue and sent me some of her amazing products to try and remedy matters. If you’re in your 20s, laughter lines/crows feet/call them what you will are probably not your main skin concern, but trust me, come your 30s they’re something you start wishing for magic potions and spells to ward off!

Already a big fan of the Dahliana Overnight Fruit Lift Crème, I was thrilled to get my hands on a pot of the Eye Renew Crème. Having said that, I’ve used a few eye creams before and have never persevered because they’ve never produced any obvious results. So I’ve been diligently applying dabs (with my ring finger, of course!) morning and night, and I have to say after only a few days it is as if the cracks are being filled in and the fine lines, while still there, actually look reduced. Each morning, I’ve been studying them in the bright light streaming through the window and feeling genuinely relieved and emboldened by the results – I’m no longer experiencing the shivery fear of ageing. If I had to choose one product to spend money on (as I’ve said before the Dahliana range does not come cheap) then this would be it. I’d be happy to use a cheaper moisturiser on the rest of my face and splash out on this. Total winner and my new hero product!

Next up, I had a pack of Collagen Paper Face Masks to try. Using carrot based collagen to hydrate and improve your skin’s elasticity, this is one of those masks you place over your face with holes for you eyes, nose and mouth and generally look like a horror movie character for 15 minutes. I kept expecting my little one to burst into tears at the sight of me, but all credit to him, he just kept swivelling around to stare at me quizzically every few minutes, laughing his head off when I finally lifted the mask off! Well, it worked a treat – not sticky or gloopy at all, in fact my skin just gulped it all up – leaving my face extremely juicy, soft and moist. I can imagine this would be an amazing mask to use post-flight or pre- big night out. These would also make a great gift, they’re exactly the kind of thing you want a stash of in your beauty cabinet.

Part of the SW Basics Lip Balm Flights range  – I raved on and on about the Shea Butter Cream and this balm is equally creamy and moisturising using cocoa butter, coconut oil and beeswax. The spicy cardamom and cinnamon probably do that trick of giving your lips a subtle beestung plumping, a little added extra. Like most, I’m addicted to lip balms and must always have one in my handbag and jacket pocket, so this is a welcome addition to my collection.

So, I hope you enjoyed this little round-up! What do you think of the products? Are you into organic and natural beauty? Also, I should mention that A Beautiful World are doing brilliant sampler boxes with both mini and full-size samples, for £20 (worth £78), which I would totally recommend snapping up – the summer ’13 one proved so popular it sold out in under two hours! I’ll be sure to give you a heads up once the autumn one becomes available.
