Last night I popped along to a Fashion Targets Breast Cancer 2013 event at the Sanderson with my freelance journalist pal Alison Taylor (let me begin by plugging her fab book The Still Single Papers here)… 

We arrived early, before the little fashion room of designers and goodies was open, but that was fine as we had a lot to catch up on, including her raucous, magical and perfectly romantic Glastonbury. Sitting at the Sanderson’s impressively long bar, we ploughed through a bottle of delicious rose, nattering incessantly. Honestly, this month has magic in the air, I keep telling you!

Then we stepping in the little fashion boudoir with a range of lovely brands all there to support Fashion Targets Breast Cancer including Spangled (the cool dinosaur sunnies below – I totally should have bought these, one-off fun coolness plus support for the charity! Regret, regrets put down to an alcoholic fug), Alice Lodge and east London’s The White Pepper (the polka dots top below) and rails of gorgeous vintage kimonos and dresses.

After a good prowl around the brands, we grabbed some popcorn and coconut water and got stuck into some seriously strong cocktails. Well, Ali did, while I shamefully ducked out and pushed mine onto her. Seriously, I’ve gotta man up on the drinking front!

As we’d arrived so early it would have been a bit of a long haul to stay on for the DJ set from the evening’s host Blonde Ambition, but I’m sure things hotted up on the partying front. Sorry to go, but perfectly satiated, we sashayed off home (with a quick burrito stop). Thanks Fashion Targets Breast Cancer and The Sanderson for a lovely evening!
