It’s always going to be a little incongruous visiting Christmas press days in the blazing hot July summer, but I very quickly tuned into the Liberty Christmas ’13 vision…
Soon wishing I could do it just the same. From the exquisite furnishings to Liberty print Christmas crackers and beautiful wooden train set, I was happily transported into another world while escaping the midday heat. The twinkly ‘bang of the cracker’ dazzle below will be the Liberty window dressing come the season – and keep an eye out for a giant cracker bursting above the main entrance.
For the super organised and those who like to plan ahead, here are some of the many gorgeous pieces that caught my eye and transformed a hot muggy day into a silvery crisp magical wander. On the 4th floor, the Liberty Christmas shop will be open from September 7 – highly recommended for extra special and memorable gifts. Follow the fun at #ACrackingLibertyChristmas.
Note in the rack of scarves below there is the Christopher Kane brain scan print, and I’ve got a real thing for skulls at the moment (Alexander McQueen, I reckon, second from the left.)
And last, but not least, exclusive to Liberty from September are these beautiful hand engraved necklaces (and rings) by Annina Vogel – a separate post on this is forthcoming, so stay tuned.
