I’ve loved wearing this skirt this summer, it’s been perfect on blazing hot days when you don’t want to feel any material sticking to your skin…
Now that the temperature is cooling and autumn is just a few more nights away, I’m stringing out this skirt’s life with a big old cardie. Unfortunately I’m just not that girl who carries on wearing her summer skirts and dresses through the winter supplemented with a thick pair of tights (a girl in a Primrose Hill boutique once nearly sold me an extremely expensive pair of woollen tights on that premise). It’s a cool look, but ultimately a cold one. I like to be wrapped up nice and snug in thick warm layers. But hold off, we’re not quite there yet. Is all this winter anticipation getting annoying? I face it with a mixture of excitement and trepidation, which, now that I think about it, is how I face most things!
Anyway, I’m quite enjoying this last tranchant of summer, the cooled heat and days where you can dress perfectly, not having to worry too much about being too hot or too cold. This is one of those outfits, purely built around what I want it to be rather than being dictated by the weather.
Wearing Topshop vest, By Malene Birger cardigan, Zara skirt (summer season), Next shoes (this style out of season) and Chloe mini Marcie bag.

Perfect! I’m definitely anticipating fall but would be fine if we could just skip over winter indefinitely! Love the look! I have a GIVEAWAY on now!

Ha, yes I quite like the autumn months, it’s the January-February winter ones that are tough…!
