Let’s face it, one of the best things about autumn on the clothes front is lovely new jumpers. Keeping cosy as the temperature drops is one thing winter has got going for it…
The last few years has seen the statement knit float to the top of the sartorial seasonal pile thanks to micro-trends sparked off by Scandi TV detective Sarah Lund and Marcus Lupfer’s traffic-stopping designs. Now you really can take your pick of an amazing range of statement knits. My-Wardrobe’s AW13 Style Guide has zeroed in on this very thing and no wonder as they have a pretty delectable selection.
Here’s my edit above – surfing through the seasonal trends of checks (ooh, my winter check coat is due to arrive today – exciting!) and leopard, the animal lovers delights – it doesn’t get much better than floral tigers and sequinned unicorns, am I right? – and eye-popping colour twist on old classics of geometric florals and an elegant jacquard.
So far I’ve bought a couple of low-key but cosy knits for this autumn (like this chunky one) but I haven’t gone for anything statement? I think just one is all that’s needed; these ones are pricey but good for inspiration or a single purchase. How about you? What jumpers are on your shopping list?
