Today turned out brilliantly, as, while I was dashing around gettng ready to go out, this snow tiger faux fur from Next and these Bronx cut-out biker boots from Bank Fashion both arrived … They were both sent for review, but ones I’d spent quite a long time choosing. The coat is a petite size 6 and fits perfectly on the shoulders which is essential when you’re a minnow like me, plus the animal print is soft and not at all in your face. Yet another brilliant coat from Next – I love it! And I love how surprised people are when I tell them where it’s from, it’s great changing perceptions. Plus the pockets are nice and deep, which makes a winter coat that much more perfect.

The boots are my first foray into cut-outs; though I love my classic ankle boots I really wanted a change, but also something that I could comfortably stomp around in, as, let’s face it, that’s my status quo these days. This Bronx pair fits well, the sizing runs true and for a boot that feels flat it has a nice chunky heel that adds a little height. I’m really surprised how much I like these, and wish I’d tried a pair like this earlier this year.

Where I was running off to were a couple of press days (posts on those forthcoming) and most importantly, my appointment with the Genius Bar at the Apple Store to sort out my phone. I ended up replacing my handset (£159 for a 4s, not as painful as buying one off eBay for over £200 or doing an early upgrade with my phone company, extortionate) and boy, it feels good to be connected again. Over a week without a phone has been a little weird, and part of me has mourned it everyday. Technology is just within us these days, isn’t it? Speaking of which, did you know Google glasses are going to be on sale soon, from $250-$600. I’m intrigued, I have to say.

Anyway, waiting nearly 40 minutes for my Genuis Bar appointment just about finished me off, so I’m off to bed to get some beauty sleep. Excited for the Boohoo #dressmas party tomorrow, outfit already planned!
