Just a few snaps from our lovely Christmas lunch today! The kitchen superstars were my mum and sister this year, they prepared a delicious lamb lunch – we don’t really do the whole turkey thing…
They got everything ready as we took Gus for a morning walk and, wow, I’ve never seen Edinburgh so quiet! Everyone must have hunkered down despite the lovely sunny weather. I’ve also been testing out my new camera (the fabby Olympus Stylus 1) and finding my way around it. It’s a super little camera (smaller than I thought!) and I’m looking forward to taking it away with us on our new year trip to Oz and Tasmania. This fantastic review on Imaging Resource gives you an idea of its potential.
So I hope you’ve all had a lovely day with your family and are full of Christmas cheer! We stuffed ourselves with yummy lamb, sprouts, potatoes and carrots before starting the present opening – the excitement never gets old does it? And then we devoured the most delicious chocolate cake, a family fave by Delia which I remember from my childhood. Always best cold from the fridge the next day…! Except I’m tucking into a second piece as we speak!
