Not having been to the Clothes Show since I was a teenager, (getting the train down to Birmingham from Edinburgh felt so grown-up back then!) I was thrilled to be invited along by Echo Falls for this year’s event…

What struck me most was how busy and vibrant the venue was, a real day out for groups of friends and girls and their mums. Huge sections devoted to beauty, fashion, modelling, the catwalk, the VIP bar and more. I had great fun snapping away and then stopped by the Echo Falls bar for a glass of bubbly. There I met WIWT blogger Poppy Disney who was hosting a fashion panel session with MTV’s Becca Dudley (check out her awesome hand jewellery) and stylist Karl Williet and the other bloggers who had been invited along including Cosmo’s Best New Fashion Blog winner, Kim from Love Cloth.

I have to be honest with you, I didn’t buy anything. I think this is more about snapping up bargains and I just wasn’t in the mood for that kind of rummaging around. The only thing I regret not doing is having a look around the Jarlo rails but I was deadset on finding some rose gold hoops which sidetracked me. No luck unfortunately! Although I later found the perfect ones on Etsy by aurefolie.

The big pulls of the day were boy band Union J (about which I confess I know nothing!) and TOWIE/Made in Chelsea types flogging their brands… but mainly I just enjoyed the buzz of being surrounded by some seriously committed shoppers. Hope you enjoy the photos!
