Miss Crofton Knickers | Life Lately

Miss Crofton Knickers | UK fashion blog | Stylonylon

Good old Kim Wilde, reminding us never to take life (and style, and gardening!) too seriously. Somehow I’ve broken through the stress of the last few weeks and found a happier, more relaxed place…

Possibly because, yes, I’ve got most of my Christmas shopping done, we’re getting travels plans pinned down and (whoop!) I finished the first draft of the novel I’m working on. Still a lot of editing to go, but this mad fugue that was making me race to the end has lifted and I feel so much lighter.

Building on that we had the most lovely day out yesterday. First we headed to Broadway Market to top up the Christmas bits and pieces, except I just ended up finding these gorgeous handmade knickers by Miss Crofton instead and now I want everything she makes – the bras are perfect for me! Then I popped into THE WHITEPEPPER sample sale (while leaving Myles and Gus at Netil market devouring croissants and burgers) and got some amazing pieces on the £10 rail, for me and him. Can’t wait to shoot an outfit post, got a lovely little party outfit now.

Afterwards, we walked all the way along the canal to Angel for the Camden Passage bric-a-brac stalls before collapsing in a heap at The Elk In The Woods (favourite pub name ever!) for chips, hot chocolate and red wine. Next stop was Waterstones, before bumping into the sister-in-law and boyfriend so cue another pub stop at the Old Queen’s Head. Refuelled, we popped into Petit Bateau on Upper Street before making our way up to an Italian caff on Holloway Road for some spag. And finally, home James! I love a day out like this – how about you? What’s makes a perfect Saturday out?

Ps. Make sure you enter my giveaway!
