Landed Melbourne | Shopping Chapel Street

The last few days have been a real whirlwind – arriving in Byron Bay with really bad jetlag, husband gigging late then a wedding to go to before jumping on a plane the next day to Sydney and then Melbourne…

But here we are, staying in an incredible boutique hotel just off one of Melbourne’s Chapel Street, tonnes of shopping and cool little cafés (though I’m told the yuppies of north of the river think their cafes are way better than the hipster ones of the south!) and antique shops. I had a wander this morning snapping away for my next Free People post and, of course, succumbed to the sale in one of my favourite Aussie shops Olga de Polga – typical that in the sweltering heat you finally find the perfect beanie (big enough to cover my bun without looking weird, y’know!) and a lovely beige woollen with elbow patches, and a floaty blue top I wore today.

Just back from a walk by the river and more delicious food – where else but Oz can you get consistently heathy but delicious dishes of salads? I can safely say I’m pretty sad to be leaving here so soon, but next stop Tasmania. Kinda magical sounding, dontcha think? So many photos, I had to buy a new memory card. A little insta catch-up coming next.

Ps. A bit of more of a filter on this photos than usual, I couldn’t resist the 70s haze of the bright blue sky. Filters look so much better when you’ve got amazing light like you do here.
