New trainers are the focus of this post, I’ve been dying to show them off! As soon as I saw these I just knew they were the ones for me…
Not all trainers do me justice fit wise as I’m actually a half size and some come up big and some small – eg. Nike’s size 38 always look a little big, whereas Zara size 38s pinch a little (gutted when I realised my ponyhair slip ons from Zara were never going to work). But I had a sixth sense the New Balance 574s would be just perfect and they were! At 5″1 perfect and perfect proportions are of the essence.
So I dashed out to Schuh in Westfield and nabbed these choco goodies in the sale (still full price but lots more colours on ASOS btw). Love the retro geekiness of these and craving the navy too. The coat was another sale find (impulsing to the max!). Not mega discounted, but more that it fit so well and there was only one XS left!! Zara, of course. It’s embarrassing really how well they’re doing these days. Backlash forthcoming ever?
Anyway, I set off on our trip in this outfit (except I did a last minute swap for boyfriend jeans for plane comfort) and it’s been perfect – loving the cut of the coat, neat on the shoulders with simple collar and filling out in a understated cocoon silhouette. Also, I don’t know if you can tell from the shots, but the blue-green boucle is most charmant!
