LFW Day 4 | What I Wore | What I Did

After Sunday off (which I spent scoffing delicious fig-shaped meringues at the Frank & Doll sample sale!) I got myself together for an afternoon of LFW Day 4…

As you’ve no doubt noticed, I’ve been living in my Ash jungle sneakers but switching up the coats and handbags – today’s is a Zara check coat from the January sale and a gorgeous Datchet bag by Village England (check out this fab article in ES on the brand). Once at Somerset House I met the lovely Liz from A Beautiful World to go to the Hemyca presentation and was delighted to meet her pals Emma from Life of Yablon and Laura from Fab Tips, both of whom I follow on Twitter. Always nice to meet the real life person behind the blog! That’s Liz below in the Insta with me and the lip balm is a delicious smelling brand called Kadalys that Laura showed me – scrummy, natural and cute packaging, and this from someone who usually hates banana scented things, despite loving bananas!

The Hemyca (luxury womenswear, Chelsea based) presentation took place in the Somerset House showroom in the middle of the courtyard. There was quite a scrum to get in but Liz magiced us to the top of the queue and we made it inside for quite a jaw-droppingly beautiful show of extremely elegant and almost wearable clothes (for the very tall!). I was really happy with some of the shots of the models I got in their cool neon cages (below) with my little Stylus 1!

After the presentation and more refuelling at Fernandez & Wells, I popped into the exhibition to see the crazy wonderful Georgia Hardinge and her latest collection. She’s doing some incredible things with pleats and pleating and, since my cameras (both of them!) died on me, I going to go back tomorrow and photograph her pieces in more detail. So beautiful.

I finished off the evening with a welcome glass of red (hello, Fernandez & Wells again!) with my pal Ali from The LFW Daily. I even got to see inside the depths of Somerset House where all the LFW Daily magic takes place… Until tomorrow!

  1. Hey Julia

Just about to buy some Jungles. Did you have to size up? I hear they are quite big.

    Thanks, Tee xx
