There’s something about sea salt and chocolate, it just makes you want to weep with happiness; as does the simplicity of this chocolate tart recipe. I first had this tart just over a week ago at China & Ben’s pop-up Sunday lunch…
And since the lovely China promised she would, I got her round to show me how to make it. If you like the look of it and you’re London-based, enter our giveaway below for supper for two at China & Ben’s Pie & Mash pop-up on Wednesday 9 April – it’s on the menu!
In east London at the lovely little Well Street Kitchen, China & Ben will be doing this fab menu – use the Rafflecopter widget below, just the usual mix of follow requirements. The winner will be randomly selected and contacted on Tuesday 8 April. Or if you fancy coming along anyway, click here for more info. I’ll be there with a table of pals, snapping away as usual!
And now, the recipe, adapted from China’s cousin’s gorgeous food blog…
250g dark chocolate
250g unsalted butter
250g caster suger
1 tbsp non-raising flour
1 good pinch flaked sea salt
1. Pre-heat the over to 180 degrees Celcius
2. Butter a tart tin (or line with baking paper)
3. Melt the butter and chocolate together in a bowl over boiling water
4. Add the mixture to the sugar
5. Add the eggs and mix in
6. Add the flour & salt and stir
