Hello Sun

PinkBuilding1

Wow, what a weekend of glorious sunshine. While I spent most of Saturday nursing the world’s smallest hangover, Sunday we embraced the day with a walk down the canal all the way to Hackney Wick…

We passed the myriad colourful houseboats, insane number of cyclists and cool warehouse bar and restaurants along the waterfront (packed, of course!). We couldn’t get a table at No. 90 so we ended up at the very sweet Hackney Pearl (food pics coming in the next post). Along the way we passed this incredible building of many colours. I begged for a couple of photos and have mixed up the results with some of the gorgeous wildflowers by the canal bridge.

It was, if there ever was one, a day for digging out last summer’s cut-offs and vest top. I’m living in these espadrilles from Penelope Chilvers right now, at home in my kimono and out and about too, definitely a reason for a pair in another colour right? I’m eyeing up these gorgeous champagne ones too!

I’m feeling so buoyant for the week ahead, now that summer seems to have arrived. And I’m extra excited as come the weekend I’m heading to Devon for a few days at a writer’s retreat. I’ll keep you posted!
