Last night we headed out to Soho for drinks at not-for-profit members’ club House of St Barnabus (they act as a charity supporting the homeless), a lovely old building on the corner of Soho Square, huge high-ceiling rooms with big windows and decor posh shabby chic (…)
A few too many of these elderflower champagne cocktails saw the night evolve to the point that come midnight I just wanted to go on and party – friends were making their next stop the Chiltern Firehouse which I still haven’t been too! But instead, we failed to hail a taxi by Hailo and found one by luck creeping up just behind us and made for home.
Just as well really, I’m a little worse for wear today and not exactly feeling a picture of health, so I’ve juiced and about to do an hour’s yoga which I’ve completely dropped these last few months. It’s so easy to get out of the habit of exercise and you convince yourself that it’s expendable, but really it’s not. I know I feel and look better for exercising and it’s long been the best way to counteract neck and shoulder pain from too much laptop work. So back into juicing and yoga it is for me, and I’m promising myself I’m going to make it a priority again until it becomes ingrained habit.
Anyway, this is what I wore, super cash, thought to honest I do wish I’d thrown on a pair of heels as all the other ladies had and I felt way shorter than usual! On the other hand, there was something quite delightful about slinking into a summery Soho evening wearing espadrilles when EVERYONE was out on the streets drinking and chatting post work. I’ve never seen Soho Square so packed!
Ok, I’m literally about to login to Gaia and fire up one of my favourite videos, wish me luck! I’m thinking Ashtanga for a bit of power yogaing – have a lovely weekend!
ps. I am loving these Penelope Chilvers espadrilles (this style is sold out but you can still get them at Shopbop) – I bought some gorgeous Manebi ones recently, but after trying the size up as well I returned them as I am truly in between their sizes it seems.
